Whether you’re renovating or self-building, you might find yourself in need of internal cottage doors of a different or non-standard size. Some common questions come to mind – do I even need bespoke internal doors? What are my choices? Is it going to be expensive? The answers are easier than you think. Our made to measure doors are a great solution. If you’ve seen your dream door on our website, but can’t find it in the size you need, fear not! We have a wealth of bespoke made-to-measure door options at affordable prices.
How Do I Know if I Need Made To Measure Internal Doors?
Any internal door that is smaller, larger, wider or narrower than standard is a bespoke door (refer to the next section below for our standard door sizes). This means that the doors you buy must be made specifically for your door opening, otherwise it won’t fit. Unless you’re an expert, you’re not going to be able to tell just by looking at your current door/empty door opening.
If you’re not sure of the exact way to measure up for a new door, we recommend that you get a professional joiner to measure the size of the door opening for you.
Top tip: Never assume that you’ll need bespoke doors for a barn conversion or historic property, sometimes we’ve found this not to be the case.
